Surement l’annonce et la présentation la plus surprenante et inattendue du secteur high-tech et de l’industrie automobile, Sony a présenté un prototype concept-car dénommé Vision-S. En partenariat avec de nombreux célèbres équipementiers, dont Brembo, Magna ou encore Bosch, ZF. et nVidia. Sony Design a fabriqué et présenté un concept-car, dénommé Sony Vision-S, pour démontrer la façon dont ses capteurs et autres technologies peuvent être mis en œuvre dans des applications automobiles et prouver une fois pour toutes que le salon CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2020 se transforme réellement en salon automobile. Dévoilée à la grande surprise générale lors de la keynote (conférence de presse) de Sony au CES 2020, la Vision-S est un prototype vitrine tech. et banc d’essai plateforme à motorisation électrique.

Official Statement CES2020 Sony VISION-S

Sony’s efforts in the field of mobility – such as the search for safety, reliability, comfort and entertainment – have resulted in a new project, called ‘VISION-S’.

The 1st prototype vehicle from ‘VISION-S’ will be presented on the Sony stand. This prototype integrates Sony imaging and sensing technologies, as well as embedded software regulated using Sony AI, telecommunications and cloud technologies (allowing for continuous updates and evolution of its functionalities).


A total of 33 sensors, including CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensors and ToF sensors, are integrated into the vehicle to detect and recognise people and objects inside and outside the car, and provide highly advanced driving support.

Sony’s ‘360 Reality Audio’ offers an immersive audio experience with speakers built into each seat to immerse passengers in the sound. The front seats face a panoramic screen on which rich and diverse content can be enjoyed via an intuitive user interface.

Sony will continue to combine its advanced technologies to offer greater safety and reliability, while striving to inspire new emotions through revolutionary in-car entertainment experiences.

Tech. Sony VISION-S

CMOS image sensors guarantee high sensitivity, definition and dynamic range, while suppressing LED flicker to enable precise object recognition even in situations where conventional detection is difficult.

 

Solid State LiDAR uses highly accurate distance measurement to achieve accurate 3D reproduction of real-life spaces.

 

Sensor fusion technology combines the capabilities of sensors of various attributes to improve recognition accuracy even in difficult conditions such as fog, backlighting and night driving.

 

In-cabin Time of Flight (ToF) detection solutions use distance measurement technology to detect and recognize people and objects inside the car.

This information is used to provide an optimized infotainment system with intuitive interfaces such as gesture control, and to improve safety and comfort inside the vehicle.
